英国教师，多年年的国际幼儿园主班教学工作及长期在北京的生活经历为Will老师带来丰富的教学经验，他深谙中国学生及家长在小学阶段的需求，并因此制定适合中国学生能力发展的主动学习计划。目前为爱朗东城国际幼儿园中、大班主教，主修小学及音乐教育，弹得一手好吉他。
Hello! My name is William Proudfoot. I am 33 years old and I’m from Liverpool in the United Kingdom. I would like to thank you all for the opportunity to be a wonderful member of the Imagine Family, and especially the Homeroom Lead Teacher of this wonderful class. I look forward to getting to know you all, and having a great relationship with your wonderful children!
After finishing my degree in Philosophy, I completed my Post Graduate Certificate of Education (PGCE) from Exeter University, specializing in Primary and Music education. Since then, I have been teaching for the last 10 years around the world; from English primary schools, Ugandan Village schools and, for the last 4 years, at an International Chinese Kindergarten in Beijing, so I am very experienced with children of all ages, abilities and social backgrounds.
I have taught children ranging from 3 to 20 years old
(I had one class with 130 children in it, ranging from 9 to 20 years old!)
so I understand that all children are different with different needs, and I understand how to get the best out of each child, depending on their own personal goals.
Through my experience, I have developed a unique interactive style of teaching, which tries to incorporate all the children into the learning. I feel that children learn best when they are physically involved, when the teacher is being enthusiastic and fun, and when they are laughing and enjoying the class. I find positive reinforcement is infinitely better than negative, so I try to reward my children as much as possible by praise, therefore developing their confidence and self-esteem. I have always had a wonderful relationship with my students and I love seeing them develop their language as well as their social skills. It is truly rewarding to help them develop into brilliant young people!
I can’t wait to meet all of the children! I know I will love them and they will all have a great time with me as their teacher. They will all reach their maximum potential with love, understanding and a genuine care from teachers and parents towards the children’s needs and interests. A great relationship between teacher and parent also ensures that your child is getting the most out of their education, so I am truly looking forward to working with you to achieve our goals!

在取得哲学学位后，我进而在埃克塞特大学完成研究生教育并获得证书（PGCE），专攻小学和音乐教育。从那时起，我一直在世界各地的教学10年;从英国小学，乌干达乡村学校，到近4年来，在北京的国际中文幼儿园，都有我教学的身影 ，所以我的丰富教学经验跨越不同年龄，能力和社会背景的孩子。我教过3到20岁的孩子（我曾经在一堂课有130个孩子，从9岁到20岁！ ）
通过我的精力，我发展了一种独特的互动式教学风格，试图将所有的孩子都融入到学习中。我觉得孩子们在亲身参与、由老师热情和风趣带动氛围、拥有欢笑和享受课堂时学习得最好。我发现积极的强化提升比消极的直接批评要好得多，所以我尽量通过表扬来奖励我的孩子，从而培养他们的信心和自尊心。我一直和我的学生关系很好，我喜欢看到他们发展他们的语言和社交技能。帮助他们发展成为杰出的年轻人，这是真正有益的！我兴奋地期待我的学生们！我知道我会爱他们，作为 他们优秀的主班老师一起度过美好的学习时光。通过爱、理解、老师和家长对孩子需要和兴趣的真正关怀，我将帮助他们充分发挥最大的潜力。教师和家长之间的良好合作关系也确保孩子们受益良多，所以我真的很期待与您合作，以实现我们的目标！
